I have decided to make my chapstick holders pattern FREE!! If you would like the ad-free pdf you can purchase it here. This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. There are two different patterns. One for the Buzz-e Bee Chapstick holder and the Lady Bug Chapstick holder .
These fit most average tubes of chapstick. I have included tips throughout the pattern of how and when to crochet in certain tails. This helps a lot because the tubes are so small it is hard to weave in the tails afterwards. I hope you love the pattern and I cant wait to see your finished products!

Buzz-E Bee Body: I do not cut yarn in between each color change. I simply just carry it over the opposite color’s rows on the inside. When doing this be sure not to pull it too tight as this can mess up the shape of the project. Each row has either a Y or a B at the beginning. This indicates what color to use for each row. Y = Yellow, B = Black
Round 1: (Y) In a magic ring sc 5 sl st to join in first sc
Round 2: (Y) Ch 1. Inc in each st around sl st to join (10 total sc)
Round 3: (Y) Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Sl st to join (10 total)
Round 4-6: (B) Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Tip: As you crochet around crochet over black tail so you don’t have to weave in ends later. Sl st to join. (10 total sc)
Round 7-9: (Y) Ch1. Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to join. Tip: After round 9 cut yellow yarn and crochet over tail as you go in round 10 so that you don’t have to weave in ends later. (10 total sc)
Round 10-12: (B) Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Sl st to join (10 total sc)
Round 13 (B) Ch 10 sl st back in same st and tie off. Weave in tail.
Wings (make 2) use white yarn
In second ch from hook hdc then dc. In next ch do 2 dc. In third ch dc then hdc. Tie off first wing. At the end of the second wing before tying off turn and sc together both wings back down the starting ch. Tie off leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in all other tails.
Sew wings on in desired spot.
The lady bug is essentially the same as the bee just instead of doing stripes you do dots.
